About Me
Having “retired” from my career in marketing when my twin boys were born, I decided to utilise my life-long passion for interiors and the experience I have gained renovating my own homes to embark on a new career in interior design. Upon successfully completing a Diploma in Professional Interior Design, I launched Natalie Davies Interior Design in 2014.
Over the past six years I have worked with a variety of residential private clients across North Yorkshire and beyond. I am very much a client-led designer - I don’t have a “house style” but instead prefer to listen to my clients' own ideas and aspirations to create a style they feel comfortable with. I help them develop their ideas and give them the confidence to move out of their comfort zones to create inspirational interiors that work for their own way of living. I believe that first and foremost, good design should improve your quality of life as well as being practical, comfortable, welcoming and beautiful.
I am an Associate Member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), currently following the BIID Professional Pathway, the route to becoming a Registered Interior Designer. I am also a proud member of House & Garden "The List” and have for the past five consecutive years, been awarded a “Best of Houzz” award for service.
The Design Process
Anybody can have a beautiful home, no matter what their budget. However, having the creative vision and time to trawl the internet or trudge from shop to shop co-ordinating paints, wallcoverings, fabrics, flooring, lighting and furniture as well as organising tradespeople may be a daunting prospect. My experience of doing exactly this allows me to help you achieve your objectives within budget.
I offer a flexible design service, tailored to the level of help you require. Whether you’d like help designing one room or are looking to overhaul a whole house, the design process always begins with a free home consultation. I will visit your home in order to get a feel for the space, light and a thorough understanding of your lifestyle, tastes and design preferences.
